Sharpening Second Grader Ability in Addition Operation Worksheets


Addition is the commonest skill that comes naturally to the children. This simple counting skill could be easily taught by using the fingers only, especially for preschool children. In fact, you can see that a lot of parents do this. However, when the children start to attend school, they will be introduced to various and challenging addition operation. And therefore, the presence of math worksheet, like 1st and 2nd grade addition math worksheet will be a common thing for the children at this stage.

Students will be provided with equations of two addition sentences, for example 2 + 4 = 4 + 2, 5 + 4 = 6 + 3, etc.  And they have to tell whether the equation is true or false.

Similar to “true/false activity”, this worksheet would require the students to identify which addition sentence is true. In this addition sentence: which is true worksheet,  the students will be given some addition sentences, and they should choose which one is correct by signing or coloring the sentences as it is instructed.

Addition is actually a very basic and simple math operation. The solid understanding of the addition concept will be a great foundation for the students to learn further math operations.
